Early Years To Lifelong Success: RELAY & AmericasCHILD RELAY participants begin LIFELONG LEARNING SKILLS 1986-2008
Parental Involvement: RELAY required the involvemtent and participation of parents/guardians
Over the years, RELAY and AmericasCHILD RELAY students produced over 600 TV Productions; NOT to include "LIVE" TV telecast of Greensboro Cirty Council meetings.
From its inception, RELAY was born of the war time experiences of its founder, Ted Mangum and his family of war time veterans and had received the support of both municipal and law enforcement agencies state wide (in North Carolina)
RELAY students were exposed to many different ethnic groups, cultures and activities. They not only learned about these groups; but tolerance and acceptance as well
RELAY broadcast served as the catalyst for broadcasting news and information for hundreds of other community groups and organizations. These groups were as diverse as the Democrat & Republican Parties; Jewish & Islamic religions; business & political leaders; community & religious leaders, etc.
